SKINVIVE® by JUVÉDERM® · Dallas, TX
SKINVIVE in Dallas
A hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable designed to improve skin smoothness—not create traditional filler volume. Now FDA-approved for the cheeks and, as of 2026, horizontal neck lines in adults over 21.

Quick Answer: What Is SKINVIVE?
SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM is an FDA-approved hyaluronic acid injectable placed in tiny microdroplets within the skin to improve smoothness. Unlike traditional facial filler, the goal is skin quality rather than visible contour or projection. FDA clinical studies showed improvement in cheek smoothness through 6 months. In June 2026, the FDA expanded the indication to include horizontal neck lines in adults over 21.

1 Syringe
A focused treatment when one syringe is appropriate for your treatment plan.

Why SKINVIVE Is Different From Traditional Filler
SKINVIVE is part of the JUVÉDERM family, but it is not used like a traditional volumizing filler. It contains crosslinked hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, but the product is injected as small microdroplets for skin smoothness. The objective is a subtle improvement in how the skin looks and feels—not bigger cheeks or a different facial shape.
Smoother Skin
FDA-approved to improve cheek skin smoothness in adults over 21.
Hydrated Appearance
Clinical testing also found improvement in cheek hydration after treatment.
Natural-Looking
Designed for skin quality rather than obvious volume or facial reshaping.
New for 2026: SKINVIVE Is FDA-Approved for Neck Lines
On June 11, 2026, the FDA expanded SKINVIVE’s indication to include intradermal and/or subdermal injection to reduce horizontal neck lines and improve neck appearance in adults over 21.
In the pivotal neck study, 74.8% of treated participants met the primary neck-line response endpoint at one month versus 16.1% of untreated controls. Two-thirds of treated participants continued to show at least a one-grade improvement in neck lines at six months. Treatment amount is individualized.
What Can SKINVIVE Treat?
| Area | What SKINVIVE is designed to improve | FDA status |
|---|---|---|
| Cheeks | Skin smoothness and overall skin-quality appearance | FDA-approved for adults over 21 |
| Horizontal neck lines | Visible transverse neck lines and overall neck appearance | FDA-approved in 2026 for adults over 21 |
SKINVIVE Before & After Results
SKINVIVE results are intentionally subtle. Look for improvements in skin smoothness, fine texture and how light reflects from the skin rather than a major change in facial shape.
SKINVIVE Before & After Videos
See real SKINVIVE before-and-after results. Because SKINVIVE is designed to improve skin smoothness rather than create dramatic volume, look for subtle changes in texture, hydration and overall skin quality. Individual results vary.
What to Expect at Your SKINVIVE Appointment
Your provider first evaluates your skin, treatment area and goals. SKINVIVE contains lidocaine, and the product is delivered in small injections across the planned area. Treatment time varies by area and amount used.
Temporary injection-site reactions are common. FDA labeling and clinical studies describe reactions such as redness, swelling, tenderness, firmness, bruising, lumps or bumps, itching, pain and discoloration. Most injection-site reactions in the studies were mild to moderate and resolved without intervention, although serious complications are possible.
How Long Does SKINVIVE Last?
For cheek smoothness, FDA clinical data showed improvement through at least 6 months after optimal treatment. The 2026 neck study also demonstrated improvement through 6 months. Individual duration varies.
When Will I See Results?
Some patients notice a fresher, smoother appearance relatively early, but the best time to judge your result is after initial swelling and injection-site changes have settled. In the FDA pivotal cheek and neck studies, key effectiveness assessments were performed one month after the initial treatment or optional touch-up.
SKINVIVE vs. HydraFacial, Microneedling & Filler
SKINVIVE vs. Traditional Filler
Choose SKINVIVE when your goal is skin smoothness and skin quality. Traditional filler is better when the goal is structural volume, contour, projection or facial balancing.
SKINVIVE vs. HydraFacial
HydraFacial is a non-injectable surface treatment for cleansing, exfoliation and hydration. SKINVIVE places hyaluronic acid inside the skin for longer-lasting smoothness.
SKINVIVE vs. Microneedling
SkinPen microneedling stimulates a wound-healing and collagen response and is often chosen for acne scars and deeper texture concerns. SKINVIVE focuses on smoothness without resurfacing the skin.
SKINVIVE vs. BBL or HALO
BBL HERO targets pigment and redness, while HALO laser provides more intensive resurfacing. SKINVIVE addresses skin quality through injectable HA.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
SKINVIVE may be worth discussing if you are 21 or older and want smoother-looking cheek skin or improvement in horizontal neck lines without a treatment primarily intended to create volume. It may be especially appealing if you want a subtle skin-quality treatment rather than a dramatic injectable change.
Who Should Not Receive SKINVIVE?
According to FDA labeling, SKINVIVE is contraindicated in patients with severe allergies marked by a history of anaphylaxis or multiple severe allergies, allergy to gram-positive bacterial proteins, or allergy to lidocaine. Your provider should also review active skin problems, recent procedures, medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, bleeding risk and other medical considerations before treatment.
