01

Customized Dosing

Your plan is based on muscle strength, facial movement, symmetry, prior treatment history, and your desired level of movement — not a template.

Refined Results

Our goal is softer lines, smoother expression, and natural confidence — not a frozen or over-treated look.

The science

What Is Botox and How Does It Work?

Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved injectable neuromodulator manufactured by Allergan Aesthetics. Placed in precise micro-doses into specific facial muscles, it temporarily reduces the nerve signals that cause those muscles to contract. The skin above relaxes and smooths — softening dynamic lines while your natural expressions stay fully intact.

The product is only half the equation. The difference between Botox that looks refreshed and Botox that looks "frozen" comes down to the injector — their command of facial anatomy, how your muscles move, and exactly where (and where not) to place each unit. Our injectors map your facial dynamics before a single needle is involved, then dose conservatively. You can always add; you can't subtract.

"Our philosophy with Botox is simple: you should look like yourself, just refreshed. We never aim for frozen — we aim for natural. Every patient's face is different, and our injectors treat it that way."

The Sanjiva difference

Why Medical Oversight Matters for Botox

Botox is a prescription medication, and in Texas it must be administered under physician delegation. At many Dallas med spas, the "medical director" is a name on paperwork. At Sanjiva, he owns the practice.

Dr. Guntipalli is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. That clinical and physician background shapes how we practice aesthetics: your consultation includes a genuine medical screening — medications, neuromuscular history, candidacy — the kind of review an internist does reflexively. Injection protocols and dosing ranges are physician-developed. And because this is a physician-owned practice with no quota to hit, if Botox isn't the right tool for your concern, we'll tell you — and tell you what is.

Your injections are performed by our Certified Aesthetic Nurse Injectors — the team behind Sanjiva being voted Best Med Spa in Dallas by the Dallas Observer (2024), our BBB A+ accreditation, and 250+ five-star Google reviews.

Versatility

Botox Treatment Areas

Botox is one of the most versatile tools in aesthetic medicine. At Sanjiva, we use it for cosmetic and functional concerns across the face, jaw, and neck.

Forehead Lines

Horizontal lines from years of raising your brows. Strategic placement relaxes the frontalis muscle while preserving natural movement.

Frown Lines · the "11's"

The vertical creases between the brows that read as stress or anger. Treating the corrugator and procerus muscles opens and refreshes the brow.

Crow's Feet

Smooths the lines fanning from the outer eyes while keeping your smile warm and genuine.

Brow Lift

A few well-placed units rebalance the muscles that pull the brow down, creating a subtle, natural-looking lift and a more open eye area — no surgery involved.

Lip Flip

A few units along the upper lip border let the lip roll subtly outward for a fuller look — without filler volume. See our Lip Flip page.

Bunny Lines

The diagonal creases on the sides of the nose when you scrunch or laugh — smoothed with a few precise units.

Neck Bands · Nefertiti Lift

Relaxes prominent platysmal bands along the neck and jawline for a smoother, more lifted profile.

Hyperhidrosis · Excessive Sweating

FDA-approved for severe underarm sweating that doesn't respond to clinical antiperspirants. Many patients see meaningful reduction for 4–6 months per treatment.

MicroTox

Diluted Botox placed superficially across the face, neck, or décolletage to refine pores, reduce oiliness, and smooth texture — without affecting movement.

Chin Dimpling · "orange peel" chin

Relaxes an overactive mentalis muscle for a smoother, more refined chin contour.

Masseter Botox in Dallas for jaw slimming and TMJ-related tension at Sanjiva Medical Spa

Masseter + TMJ Botox

Jaw slimming, clenching support, and lower-face balance.

Masseter Botox is one of the highest-value Botox treatments because it can offer both cosmetic and functional benefits — relaxing enlarged or overactive jaw muscles that contribute to a wider lower face, jaw tension, clenching, or teeth grinding. It's an off-label use of Botox we discuss candidly, and results develop over 2–4 weeks.

  • Can soften a square or heavy lower-face shape in appropriate candidates
  • May help reduce jaw tension from overactive masseter muscles
  • Requires higher unit ranges than small cosmetic areas (typically 40–60 units)
  • Requires careful placement to avoid smile changes or unwanted weakness

What to Expect at Your Botox Appointment

Consultation

Every new patient starts with a complimentary consultation. Your injector assesses your facial anatomy and movement, reviews your health history, and builds a plan with an exact unit count and transparent quote — before anything else happens.

Treatment

After cleansing, your injector uses an ultra-fine needle to place Botox into the targeted muscles. Most patients describe a brief pinch. The full appointment typically takes 10–15 minutes — genuinely lunch-break friendly from anywhere in the Park Cities.

Aftercare

No downtime. Return to work immediately; avoid rubbing the treated areas for 24 hours, stay upright for 4 hours, and skip strenuous exercise for the day. Pinpoint redness or minor bruising, if any, typically resolves quickly.

Results & Touch-Up

Effects begin in 3–5 days, with full results at two weeks. If fine-tuning is needed, we offer a complimentary two-week touch-up visit.

For context, Botox in Dallas commonly runs $12–$18 per unit depending on the provider and the level of medical oversight. Sanjiva's $14 includes physician supervision and manufacturer-authorized product — a combination usually found at the top of that range. Financing is available through Cherry and CareCredit, and treatments earn rewards through Allergan's Allē program (Dysport earns through Galderma ASPIRE).

Two great options

Botox vs. Dysport: Which Is Right for You?

As a dual Allergan and Galderma authorized provider, Sanjiva offers both leading FDA-approved neuromodulators — so our recommendation is based on your anatomy, not our inventory.

Both deliver excellent results. Dysport's gentle diffusion suits larger zones like the forehead; Botox's precision suits crow's feet, lip flips, and detailed work. Honest candidacy

Who Is a Good Candidate for Botox?

Botox is a great fit if you…

  • Notice lines that appear or deepen with expression (forehead, frown lines, crow's feet)
  • Want a refreshed look without surgery or downtime
  • Are interested in preventative treatment as faint lines begin to linger
  • Grind your teeth or want a slimmer jawline contour
  • Struggle with excessive underarm sweating despite clinical antiperspirants

We may suggest an alternative if…

  • Your main concern is volume loss or deep static folds — dermal fillers or Sculptra may serve you better
  • Texture, tone, or sun damage is the priority — Halo or BBL HERO may be the right tool
  • You're pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have certain neuromuscular conditions or a known allergy to botulinum toxin products

This is exactly what the complimentary consultation is for — an honest recommendation, even when the answer is "not this, and here's why."

Ahead of the curve

Preventative Botox: When Should You Start?

Most patients who choose preventative Botox begin in their mid-20s to early 30s — the point when expression lines start lingering after the expression ends. Relaxing those muscles early limits the repeated folding that gradually etches static creases into the skin. Think of pressing a shirt before the wrinkle sets: prevention is easier than correction.

Preventative treatment typically uses fewer units than corrective treatment, which means a lower per-session cost. Your injector will give you a straightforward answer on whether it makes sense for you yet — including "not yet," if that's the honest answer.

Brotox

Botox for Men in Dallas

A growing share of our patients are men who want to look rested and sharp — not "done." Men's facial muscles are typically larger and stronger, requiring more units and different placement to maintain a flat, masculine brow rather than an arched one. Our injectors adjust dosing and technique accordingly.

Most-requested treatments for men at Sanjiva: forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet, masseter slimming for jawline definition, and hyperhidrosis treatment. More on our Men's Treatments page.

Good questions

Botox in Dallas — Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Botox cost in Dallas?

At Sanjiva Medical Spa, Botox is $14 per unit, with first-time patients receiving 20% off ($11.20/unit, 30-unit minimum). A typical full-face treatment (forehead, frown lines, crow's feet) runs approximately $560–$896 depending on units needed. You'll receive an exact quote during your complimentary consultation.

How many units of Botox do I need?

It depends on the area, your muscle strength, and your goals. Forehead lines typically need 10–30 units, frown lines 15–30, and crow's feet 12–24 per side. Men generally need more units due to larger facial muscles. Your injector will recommend a precise count at your consultation.

How long does Botox last?

Typically 3–4 months. Most patients maintain results with treatments about three times per year. With consistent treatment, some patients find treated muscles relax more readily over time.

Does Botox hurt?

Most patients describe a brief pinch lasting a fraction of a second. Needles are ultra-fine and the full session takes 10–15 minutes. Topical numbing is available on request, though rarely needed.

Will I look frozen or unnatural?

That's exactly what our approach is designed to prevent. Our injectors dose conservatively and place precisely so lines soften while your expressions stay fully yours. The best Botox is the kind no one can detect.

Is Botox safe?

Botox has been FDA-approved for cosmetic use since 2002, with an extensive clinical safety record when administered by qualified providers. At Sanjiva, every treatment follows physician-developed protocols under the medical direction of Dr. Guntipalli, using only manufacturer-sourced product, and your consultation includes a medical screening to confirm candidacy.

Who should not get Botox?

Botox is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for patients with certain neuromuscular conditions (such as myasthenia gravis), or for anyone with a known allergy to botulinum toxin products. This is precisely why medical screening matters — your consultation reviews your history before any treatment is planned.

What's the difference between Botox and Dysport?

Both are FDA-approved neuromodulators. Botox ($14/unit) is concentrated and precise — ideal for targeted areas. Dysport ($4.66/unit; about 3 Dysport units equal 1 Botox unit) diffuses slightly more, which suits broader zones like the forehead. As a dual-authorized provider, we recommend whichever fits your anatomy — see our full guide, Botox vs. Dysport in Dallas, or our Dysport page.

What age should I start Botox?

There's no universal age. Many patients start preventative Botox in their mid-20s to early 30s, when expression lines begin to linger. Starting early can keep faint lines from becoming etched creases — and your injector will tell you honestly if you don't need it yet.

Is Sanjiva an authorized Botox provider?

Yes — authorized for both Allergan Aesthetics (Botox, Juvéderm) and Galderma (Dysport, Restylane, Sculptra). All product is purchased directly from the manufacturers. Always verify authorization with any provider; counterfeit and diverted neurotoxin products have been documented in the aesthetics industry.

Can Botox be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Botox addresses dynamic lines; dermal fillers restore volume; and treatments like Halo, BBL HERO, or microneedling improve skin texture and tone. Many patients combine them in a coordinated plan designed at consultation.

How do I get started?

Call 469-336-6769 or book a complimentary consultation online. We'll assess your anatomy, give you an exact unit recommendation and quote, and — if you're ready — treat you the same day.
