When you first come to your appointment, we will draw a small portion of your blood and place it in a special spinning machine called a centrifuge to isolate your PRP. This process takes only minutes. During this time, we will apply a topical numbing cream to your treatment areas. Once you are fully numb and your PRP is ready, we will perform microneedling on your skin while carefully applying PRP over your treatment areas to ensure optimal penetration. PRP and microneedling are a perfect pairing, as the microneedling creates tiny treatment channels which the PRP can soak into and start revitalizing the skin from within.
Your skin will be very red immediately after your treatment. As the PRP dries on your skin, you will also feel a tight sensation.
