Be patient! Dermal fillers take time to fully settle into your contours. Don’t panic if you are experiencing swelling, which can make you look fuller than you would like. For example, if you have undergone lip enhancement/augmentation, you should expect to see significant swelling of the lips. This swelling will go down within a few days and reveal your true results. The main point to remember is to avoid touching or rubbing your face.
This can move your filler to undesirable locations and exacerbate side effects like swelling and bruising. If you have experienced bruising, we can perform a photofacial to help fade the bruise away and speed healing. Supplements like arnica montana may also help fade bruising. We also recommend applying Alastin Skincare® INhance Post-Injection Serum with TriHex Technology®, which features ChromaFADE Technology® to help improve the appearance of skin post-injection.
