Be patient! Dermal fillers take time to fully settle into your contours. Don’t panic if you are experiencing swelling, which can make you look fuller than you would like. For example, if you have undergone lip enhancement/augmentation, you should expect to see significant swelling of the lips. This swelling will go down within a few days and reveal your true results. The main point to remember is to avoid touching or rubbing your face.
This can move your filler to undesirable locations and exacerbate side effects like swelling and bruising. If you have experienced bruising, we can perform a photofacial to help fade the bruise away and speed healing. Supplements like arnica montana may also help fade bruising. We also recommend applying Alastin Skincare® INhance Post-Injection Serum with TriHex Technology®, which features ChromaFADE Technology® to help improve the appearance of skin post-injection.

Restylane dermal fillers are designed with XpresHAn Technology to move with natural facial expressions, revealing flattering and natural-looking results. The Restylane family of fillers includes:
FDA-approved Sculptra is a biostimulator, or collagen stimulator, made of poly-L-lactic acid, a material that stimulates collagen growth from within the skin. Unlike dermal fillers, which use hyaluronic acid (HA) to replenish lost facial volume and smooth lines and wrinkles, Sculptra works without filling skin but rather stimulating new collagen growth and enhancing volume naturally. Your Sculptra regimen will include a series of three sessions, administered every four weeks or so and reveal gradual, natural looking results that last.
During your personal consultation, we will carefully study your facial anatomy and consider your aesthetic goals to determine the optimal fillers for you. You may benefit from a combination of fillers to achieve your best results.
Dermal fillers are designed to provide lasting benefits. Results can last from six months to two years, depending on the type of filler and where it is administered.
You want your fillers to last as long as possible, so we advise against undergoing laser or microneedling skin treatments following your fillers session. These skin treatments can speed the filler’s metabolization.
It’s important to note that fillers can take a while (up to two weeks) to fully settle and reveal your true results. So, it’s important to be patient while your body adjusts to the fillers. However, if you are still unhappy with your results after that point, we can provide additional fillers to adjust or correct your treatment. In rare instances, a patient may opt to dissolve their filler with a special injection of hyaluronidase (Hyalase). Rest assured; we will work closely with you to ensure you love your results!
