Be patient! Dermal fillers take time to fully settle into your contours. Don’t panic if you are experiencing swelling, which can make you look fuller than you would like. For example, if you have undergone lip enhancement/augmentation, you should expect to see significant swelling of the lips. This swelling will go down within a few days and reveal your true results. The main point to remember is to avoid touching or rubbing your face.
This can move your filler to undesirable locations and exacerbate side effects like swelling and bruising. If you have experienced bruising, we can perform a photofacial to help fade the bruise away and speed healing. Supplements like arnica montana may also help fade bruising. We also recommend applying Alastin Skincare® INhance Post-Injection Serum with TriHex Technology®, which features ChromaFADE Technology® to help improve the appearance of skin post-injection.

FDA-approved Sculptra is a biostimulator, or collagen stimulator, made of poly-L-lactic acid, a material that stimulates collagen growth from within the skin. Unlike dermal fillers, which use hyaluronic acid (HA) to replenish lost facial volume and smooth lines and wrinkles, Sculptra works without filling skin but rather stimulating new collagen growth and enhancing volume naturally. Your Sculptra regimen will include a series of three sessions, administered every four weeks or so and reveal gradual, natural looking results that last.
