Why Dr. Guntipalli’s Hospital Experience Matters
As both the Medical Director of Sanjiva Medical Spa and a practicing Internal Medicine hospitalist caring for critically ill patients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Dr. Guntipalli brings a level of clinical experience that extends well beyond aesthetic medicine. Daily management of patients with complex medical conditions provides a unique perspective when evaluating metabolic health, obesity, medication safety, cardiovascular risk, endocrine disorders, and long-term wellness.
He continues to care for medically complex patients on hospital floors and in intensive care settings across DFW. This work gives him an intricate understanding of complex medical problems, medication interactions, chronic disease, metabolic health, and obesity-related risk.
This experience shapes Sanjiva’s approach: optimization should never be separated from sound medical judgment. Rather than focusing on one product or one symptom, Dr. Guntipalli considers the full picture—including medical history, current medications, metabolic health, sleep, nutrition, muscle preservation, body composition, and long-term goals.
Food Noise, Appetite & Patient Education
Many patients describe “food noise” as persistent thoughts about food, cravings, or difficulty feeling satisfied. Sanjiva provides education about appetite regulation, protein intake, meal structure, hydration, sleep, stress, and behavior patterns that can influence food noise.
Certain prescription therapies, including some approved weight-management medications, may reduce appetite or food-related preoccupation in appropriate patients. Any medication is selected individually after medical evaluation and is never presented as a substitute for consistency, nutrition, resistance training, or long-term behavior change.
A Better Way to Approach Peptide Therapy
Peptide therapy is often marketed online as a list of products. Sanjiva takes a different approach. We begin with your medical history, goals, medications, body composition and safety profile, then create a physician-guided plan based on your individual needs.
Lean & Strong Support
For patients focused on fat loss, muscle preservation, strength, shape and measurable body composition improvement.
Sleep & Recovery Optimization
For patients seeking a more structured approach to recovery, sleep quality, resilience and healthy aging.
Skin, Hair & Aesthetic Integration
For patients combining medical optimization with PRF hair, microneedling, HALO, BBL, EMSCULPT NEO or medical skincare.
What Is Peptide Therapy?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids involved in many signaling processes in the body. Certain prescription peptide-based therapies may be considered in medical care for selected patients and specific goals.
The word “peptide” describes a broad category—not a single treatment. Your physician determines whether any prescription therapy is appropriate after reviewing your health history, current medications, goals, contraindications and available alternatives.

Why We Start Here
Optimization requires context. The evaluation helps us understand your current body composition, health history, goals and level of support needed before recommending Foundation, Performance or Executive Optimization.
GLP-1 Care Can Be Part of the Foundation Program
Some patients begin with medical weight management as their primary optimization goal. When appropriate, GLP-1 therapy may be incorporated into any membership level based on medical evaluation and the level of support required.
Our focus is not only the number on the scale. We monitor changes in weight, body fat, skeletal muscle and body composition so your plan can be adjusted with muscle preservation in mind.
Monthly InBody 580 Tracking
- Weight trend
- Body-fat percentage
- Skeletal muscle mass
- Segmental lean analysis
- Visceral-fat trend
